• In the year 1996, Dr. Vijay Chawla - who has done Ph.D. in tribal fine arts, established and started a gallery with handicrafts from all over Indian artisans.
• He gave the unique name as Gallerie Select. This was the biggest handicraft outlet in MP with over 4000 sq ft area.
• In the Year 2014, his son joined the business after completing B.Tech in computer science. Then they together started a brand for this company and named it as CRAFTEARTH. This was registered in the year 2019.
• Now, they have expanded the handicrafts to a leading memento, gifting and cotton clothing store. We offer the premium quality readymade garments for both men and women as well.
• With the trained employees, 2 offline retail store & online presence over all leading marketplaces and individual website as well as mobile application, CRAFTEARTH is now a well known brand in the area with over 5000+ variety of products.

During the survey and documentation of all the handicrafts from different artisans all across India for Ph.D. thesis, Dr. Vijay has collaborated with the artisans to display their craft and give them employment. With direct selling to the consumer, the artisans get a good value to their work and lead a good life by creating the beautiful crafts by their hands. Many villages have artisans in each and every home of that area. They have transferred the knowledge, techniques and all the skills over generations. This is how these beautiful hand-made crafts are still available and valuable across the globe.
